Southampton Art Centre
As Executive Director of the Southampton Arts Centre, Karen Friis curated a wide range of successful exhibitions that showcased both emerging and established talent. Alongside program leadership, she also designed all promotional materials, ensuring each show was presented with creativity and impact. This role blended vision, curation, and design, strengthening the Centre’s presence as a vibrant hub for arts and culture.
ARTbike
In collaboration with the United Way and Southampton Arts, Karen Friis helped bring the ARTbike initiative to life! It was a project designed to spark creativity and accessibility in the community. She successfully secured grant funding to cover the entire program and went on to design and implement free arts programming for local children. ARTbike combines movement, imagination, and opportunity, giving young people new ways to explore art right in their own community.
